No point supporting rebels, they cant do any damage to rivals and will be instantly stack wiped the moment the AI decides to move one of their stacks over. Not sure what you mean by over limit, from what I can tell the number of colonists you can have is limited by ideas, you cant just spend money to "buy" more. Level 2 COTs only need 200 gold, easily achievable in 1-2 months of income by mid game without even trying.Ĭolonists not relevant to non-colonizers (which is, most of the nations in the game). It seems strange that they wouldnt include a money sink at all for mid-late game. Unless you are spamming mercenaries in a losing war, theres not much else that you can use money on at this point. Your army/navy will get slightly larger, but it doesnt grow at a rate to make maintenance an issue unless you just ignore force limits entirely. At that point, theres no money sink left, and any improvements to your income (via better buildings, more provinces, more trade, etc) just gets stockpiled. But since building slots are essentially finite (there is no way you will have the power to develop provinces to get max building slots everywhere), and the game seriously discourages province development with how expensive it is (unless you just want to get them up to 10 to unlock an extra building slot), you will eventually run out of buildings to build at mid game.Īt about 1600, you probably have most/all your building slots filled and am using level 5 advisors (or are close to doing so). In early game, advisors and buildings are huge money sinks. ![]()
